  1. Brilliant concept. Awesomely understated. The actor playing Vincent is Tony Curran. At the end of his career, this scene will be seen to be some of his finest, perhaps his best work. He was perfect. Can't make that statement very often.

  2. “Dead people receive more flowers than the living ones because regret is stronger than gratitude.” (Anne Frank)

I think this quote really applies to many great artists, musicians and poets. Maybe not even because of regret but of shame that nobody ever saw what they created when they were still alive. This is such a great scene, I can't even put it into words, but it shows that even if it might have given van gogh relief, it still didn't affect his choices. Cause in the end, most choices are made in small moments but effect longterm.
One could be the happiest person on earth; if they're chronically depressed, they might still k!ll themselves.
Still my point is to say how beautiful this scene is and how much I wish, Vincent wpuld've felt more appreciated and happy. But nobody can change the past.

  3. Since none of those paintings are protected those are most certainly reproductions ( No museum would ever display a real van gogh, even behind a glass ) , do you think he would be able to notice that if he looked at it for a bit ?

  4. There is a theory that van gogh didnt actually kill himself, rather that one day he was accidentally shot by a local boy and instead of getting the boy in trouble, he decided to just go home and die, taking the blame for it. If that's true, then not only was he one of the greatest artists to ever live, but he was also one of the greatest men to ever live too.

  5. My dad told me that Vincent Van Gogh was smart and I am not. Just found out that I am part Indigenous and more than I thought. But I am an individual. I am always afraid to speak out. I have the same disability as this guy and constantly worried of being misunderstood because I only want people to leave me alone.
